Statutory Requirements

• Age - minimum 17 to 77years

• License - valid provisional license (u.k.)

• Health - need to declare any health conditions likely to affect driving

• Eyesight - must be able to read vehicle number plate, with or without contact lens / glasses at any time, at a distance of
   (Old style) 20.5 metres (67 feet)
   (New style) 20 metres (66 feet)

• Alcohol & Drugs - must not drive whilst under the influence

• Alcohol breath < 35 milligrammes / 100 millilitres of breath

• Blood alcohol < 80 milligrammes / 100 millilitres of blood

• Prescribed medication - consult label / pharmacist about side effects

• Illegal drugs / substances = total ban from driving
